Nicaragua Boxing Federation President Mr. Diogenes Cardenas died because of coronavirus on Tuesday, July 7.
AIBA Interim President Dr. Mohamed Moustahsae send deepest condolences to all his family, colleagues, and friends.
‘I was deeply saddened to learn of Mr. Diogenes Cardenas’s passing,’ Dr. Moustahsane said.
Mr. Cardenas was very active, he participated at the AIBA Forum in America and came to the AIBA EC meeting to present Nicaragua candidature to host AIBA Youth Men’s and Women’s Championships.
‘As President of Nicaragua Boxing Federation, he contributed a lot to the boxing development, his legacy will live in Nicaragua and worldwide. On behalf of myself and the entire AIBA Family, I would like to extend my deepest condolences and heartful sympathy to you as you mourn his loss.’
