AIBA continues to pay attention to best practice measures and new updates that will assist us to safeguard our athletes. As such, the AIBA Medical Handbook has been updated to ensure the continued safety and health of AIBA’s Boxers.
The following amendments and recommendations were discussed during the Medical Commission meeting on March 6 in Lausanne and further discussed with the Chairs of the Referee/Judge Commission and the Technical Rules Commission on July 3rd 2020, via conference call.
Subsequently, the EC voted and approved the amendments and recommendations in October 2020.
The Technical and Competition Rules reflect the amendments made to the Medical Handbook. Both documents are effective as of the published date.
