The leader of the division Hyang Mi Kim (PRK) surprisingly lost her quarter-final bout to Indian Manju Rani with split decision 4:1. The 6th seeded, Rani made already two successful fights and now goes forward against Chuthamat Raksat of Thailand. The Thai had one bout more and in the previous one, she defeated unanimously Sevda Asenova from Bulgaria.
The 4th seeded Demie Resztan (ENG) meets 2nd seeded Ekaterina Paltseva (RUS). Both had two fights before. Paltseva won unanimously against Rabab Cheddar from Morocco in the previous round. Resztan defeated Italian Roberta Bonatti with split decision 3:2.
Flyweight medal winners are DPR Korea, Russia, India and Turkey
Top-seeded Choi Mi Pang from DPR Korea secured a second victory and the medal for her country. She defeated Tsukimi Namiki of Japan and the next round goes to the ring against Liliya Aetbaeva (RUS). Russian lost her fight against Thi Tam Nguyen (VIE) but after the bout review jury has overturned the decision.
Indian superstar Mary Kom claimed her historical 8th medal of the World Championships and are on her way to gold. In quarter-finals, she defeated Ingrit Valencia Victoria (COL) and now meets with Turkish hope second-seeded Busenaz Cakiroglu who won Zongju Cai of China with split decision 3:2.
Bantamweight medals go to Chinese Taipei, India, France and the USA
Hsiao-Wen Huang (TPE) had two unanimous wins on her way to the top. Her next rival is Jamuna Boro of India who defeated Ursula Gottlob (GER) with split decision 4:1.
Third-seeded Caroline Cruveillier of France had a victory against Antonia Konstantopoulu (AUS) and goes to the ring against Mikiah Kreps (USA). The American won the bout against Dina Zholaman (KAZ) with split decision 4:1.

In the most crowded weight class of this Championships with 36 athletes participated defending champion Yu-Ting Lin (TPE) made 3 unanimous victories in a row and now meets with Liudmila Vorontsova (RUS). The Russian won 4th seeded Jemyma Betrian with split decision 3:2.
Another semi-final pair is Karriss Artingstall (ENG) vs Nesthy Petecio (PHI). The only Philippinian who reached medals in Ulan Ude defeated Sena Irie from Japan 4:1. Artingstall won unanimously against Yodgoroy Mirzaeva (UZB).
Lightweight prize winners are Finland, China, Brazil and the USA
Finnish star first seeded Mira Potkonen who made first RSC won of the Championships unanimously defeated Amy Sarah Broadhurst (IRL). She fights against Cong Wang (CHN) to reach the final. The Chinese unanimously won her previous fight against Namuun Monkhor (MGL).
Brazilian Beatriz Ferreira danced after the victory against Russian Natalia Shadrina with split decision 3:2. Her next rival is Rashida Ellis from the USA who won second-seeded Sudaporn Seesondee (THA).
Light welterweight medalists are from China, Russia, Italy and Kazakhstan
Defending champion Dan Dou from China defeated in her only bout Megan Reid (SCO) and goes to the semi-final against Ekaterina Dynnik (RUS). Third-seeded, the Russian had two victories in a row.
Italian Angela Carini won against Ravven Brown (USA) and meets with Milana Safronova (KAZ) who celebrated a split decision victory against second-seeded Melis Yonuzova (BUL).

Liu Yang from China had a tough fight with top-seeded Nien-Chin Chen (TPE) and won against her with split decision 3:2. Her next rival is third-seeded Lovlina Borgohain (IND) who defeated Karolina Koszewska from Poland 4:1.
Busenaz Surmeneli of Turkey is on her way to success after won against Christina Desmond (IRL), but her next rival is experienced Saadat Dalgatova of Russia who defeated Oshae Jones with split decision 4:1.
Middleweight triumph goes to Netherlands, Canada, Morocco and Wales
First-seeded Nouchka Fontijn had a unanimous victory against Lu Zheng of China and next round fights with Tammara Thibeault of Canada.
Another semi-final pair is Khadija Mardi, the only Moroccan reached medal, against second-seeded Lauren Price (WAL).
Light heavyweight medal deserved China, Russia, Vietnam and Turkey
Two semi-finals pairs in light heavyweight are Lina Wang (CHN) vs Zenfira Magomedalieva (RUS) and Huong Ngyuen Thi (VIE) vs Elif Guneri (TUR).
In the quarter-finals, Wang defended unanimously Fariza Sholtay of Kazakhstan. Magomedalieva won with abandon in the second round against Ezozakhon Melieva (UZB).
Huong Ngyen Thi (VIE) progressed to the final defeated Krystal Graham Dixon (USA) with split decision 3:2. Guneri won Irina-Nicolette Shonberger of Germany with the same score.
Medals of heavyweight go to China, Kazakhstan, Belarus and the USA
First seeded Chinese Xiaoli Yang learned her first rival. Dina Islambekova of Kazakhstan won with a split decision against Flavia Severin (ITA) and became a second semi-finalist.
Second-seeded Kristina Tkacheva from Russia lost her fight against Danielle Perkins (USA). Next fight the American meets Katsiaryna Kavaleva (BLR) who defeated Kavita Kavita from India 4:1.
