Olympic bronze medalist Andrei Zamkovoi (RUS) unanimously succeeded in the fight against Ablaikhan Zhussupov (KAZ) and delighted the home crowd. He meets second seeded Pat McCormack from England who defeated Bobo-Usmon Baturov (UZB).
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are semi-finalists of the light heavyweight
Light heavyweight star top seeded Julio La Cruz surprisingly lost to Bekzad Nurdauletov (KAZ) who knocked him down during the bout. Uzbek Dilshodbek Ruzmetov successfully challenged Benjamin Whittaker (ENG). In the final he meets the Kazakh athlete.
Super heavyweight top-2 are from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan
First-seeded Kamshybek Kunkabayev (KAZ) won against Justis Huni from Australia with the walkover. Bakhodir Jalolov from Uzbekistan fought against Russian Maksim Babanin and swept to a unanimous victory. In the super heavyweight final Kazakhstan fights versus Uzbekistan.
