Before the final competitions AIBA President Umar Kremlev used the opportunity to meet personally with young European athletes, to communicate with them directly and answer their questions.
‘The Finals of the European Championships will take place 24th of June. I would like to express my deep gratitude to all the organizers: the Italian Boxing Federation, the mayor of the city and the local authorities and residents, who made this important event possible,’ Mr. Kremlev said.
‘I am sure that at the tournament in Italy all the participants demonstrate their outstanding skills. You are the future of boxing, young but already elite fighters. I am glad to see you all motivated to win and only go forward. I am proud that despite such a difficult time due to all restrictions, 41 countries are participating in the event. This is a good sign that boxing is highly developed on the continent’, he added.
‘AIBA is transforming and we act and fight for the interests of our athletes every day. The interest of boxers is our top priority’, AIBA President mentioned.
By the end of meeting new boxing equipment was handed out.
